these are our lovely alpacas we’ve got
0:04
four here at ford mill farm and did you
0:08
know the alpacas originate from
0:11
somewhere around south America where
0:13
they used to be used to graze high up in
0:15
the mountains and produce really warm
0:18
fibre and meat for the people who live
0:21
there
0:22
now our alpacas are actually just pets
0:25
so they’re not very rare at all but they
0:27
are very special to us we still have to
0:30
shear them every year so they don’t get
0:32
too hot and their wool their fibre is
0:35
very high quality and it’s in demand by
0:38
lots of spinners and creators
0:41
we’ve got four alpacas here and they
0:43
have four names which i sometimes
0:45
struggle to remember so i’ll give it a
0:46
go for you now we’ve definitely got
0:48
emily who’s the white one
0:50
we’ve got lola and lollipop who are the
0:52
black and dark brown one and then the
0:55
other one i always forget her name but i
0:57
think it’s daisy so we’ve got our four
1:00
alpacas here who love living outside but
1:03
also love escaping from the rain in
1:04
their shelter as well they’ve become
1:07
quite soft since living with us here at
