If you are looking for somewhere to go for a family bike ride, Sandwell Valley Country Park is a great place to visit. Sustrans Route No 5

Part of the Sustrans National Cycle Network (Route No.5) provides an ideal route for families with young children to ride on surfaced tracks through the beautiful Sandwell Valley Country Park.

The Miner's Trail

The Miner’s Trail is a dedicated mountain bike trail which includes three kilometres for all abilities, with some exciting and challenging technical features. It is location in Jubilee Woods next to Swan Pool car park just off Park Lane (B71 3SX). The trail is free to use and parking is available at Sandwell Park Farm, Swan Pool, or Forge Mill Farm.

Sandwell Valley Urban Bike Track

Sandwell Valley Urban Bike Track

Funded by Sport England, Sandwell Council, and Birmingham Council, the Sandwell Valley Urban Bike Track is planned to be close to the Swan Pool area of Sandwell Valley and the land within the former Hill Top Golf Course, in Birmingham. Following the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, the Urban Bike Track will offer enhanced facilities for families, children and young people, as well as those with different biking abilities. Work is due to completed by Summer 2023.

Sandwell Valley Bike Hire

Sandwell Valley Bike Hire facilities are currently closed so that we can refurbish and reopen the facility for March 2023. The new facilities will offer improved cycle hire for all ages, so that our visitors can take advantage of our cycle routes and enjoy Sandwell Valley Country Park on a bike. Based at Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre, near the Adventure Play Ground, the facilities will include support for bike clubs, bike repair workshops, and other biking and cycling activities.
